Each market offers a wide range of organic, fresh produce, delicious home-cooked hot and cold food along with stalls that offer all ages a range of jewellery, fashion and quirky, handmade, artisan products. Cheddar has a very large and popular Indoor / Outdoor Boot Sale every Sunday morning with  an indoor flea market for all of your antiquities.

Cider

Whatever your interest, Somerset has some amazing things to do. One word sums up Somerset like no other: CIDER. Apple orchards have been cultivated here since Roman times, and one to visit is Roger Wilkies Cider Farm, rated one of Britain’s quirkiest attractions (might be best to book a taxi for that visit!)

Cheddar Gorge

You’ll need some cheese to go with the cider so head for Cheddar village, the authentic home of Cheddar cheese, and also the dramatic cliffs of Britain’s highest inland limestone gorge, great for rambling.
